The Papers

Now that the poems are letterpressed, I have the freedom to experiment with a variety of hand and machine made papers. Each printing, I repeat the tried and true as well as adding new colors and textures I’ve discovered in the search for the best papers for Peace Leaves. See a sampling of the papers below. Other papers and colors may also be available. Not all poems come in all papers or shapes. Purchasers usually give me a list of poems and their general preferences for colors and textures. I put together a selection of leaves to satisfy these tastes.

Since that first printing, some poems have sold over a thousand copies. Each year I have added new poems and reprinted others. There are now over 50 poems in the Peace Leaves series.
