About “Child, You Are”
This book was written for my son, Nate, a few months after he was born. I share it in hopes that parents and grandparents will read it to children and they will grow up feeling loved.
Here are few pages for you to get an idea of what the book is like.
My illustrations are mixed media, mostly watercolor, with some inks, markers, collage, & photographs, scanned to combine with the text in primarily Papyrus and Hanzipan type to create this book.
The hand sewn book has several pockets which hold Peace Leaves, letterpressed editions of stanzas from the poem printed on fine arts papers including Oblation handmade papers.
The binding is Coptic stitched by hand.
Each book is slightly different from the others in terms of embellishments, though each has the same basic pages and text.
